Natural Liver Cleanse Recipes and Techniques that Eliminate Gallstones

Liver cleanse recipes and insight

A natural liver cleanse is a powerful transformational tool that can restore health and balance to your entire body. The process takes time, but the results can be dramatic and well beyond what traditional medicine can do.

What Makes a Liver Toxic?

When your body's natural detoxification system gets overwhelmed, bile in your liver and gallbladder becomes thick with poisons that get recycled rather than released. This forms sludge and gallstones wherever you have bile.

Hundreds, even thousands, of stones can clog your liver and gallbladder until very little bile is left for digestion and detox. The resulting malnutrition and toxicity can leave your body defenseless and no longer able to heal itself.

WARNING:  Don't Start with a Liver Cleanse!

Never underestimate the power of a liver cleanse as it expels a large amount of stones and toxins all at once. To quickly and safely handle this extra release, your other organs of elimination must be prepared. First do a colon cleanse and be sure your lifestyle includes plenty of movement for a healthy lymphatic system. Also consider completing a parasite cleanse, dental detox, and a kidney cleanse. Each step will improve your health and protect you from overly strong cleansing reactions.

If your liver and gallbladder are very symptomatic, go with dissolving your stones for now. This milder form of natural liver detox is safer to pursue as you prepare your body for flushing stones later if desired.

Flush Your Gallstones or Dissolve Them

There are two ways to decongest and heal your liver and gallbladder. The first is to expel gallstones through an oil and citrus liver cleanse. It is a decisive way to get results you can literally see. The second category is broader and includes nutritional support and other techniques that gently melt the stones away.

The oil and citrus liver cleanse involves dietary restriction that allows bile pressure to build. Certain ingredients or techniques may soften the stones, relax the ducts, or clear the digestive tract. The climax is drinking an oil and citrus mix, which triggers the forceful release of bile-lubricated stones.

Below are two popular recipes which are a great place to begin. A second section includes variations.

If you prefer a gentler and less dramatic approach, dissolving the stones through herbal and nutritional support can be equally effective.

Can Liver Cleansing Cause a Gallbladder Attack?

Natural liver cleanse recipes that flush gallstones can allow even very large stones to painlessly pass. If you do experience discomfort, try a gallbladder pain remedy for relief and to help move the stone more quickly. Liver cleanse methods that dissolve gallstones are even less likely to cause an attack.

Popular Liver Cleanse Recipes

Many people get their start with a classic Dr. Hulda Clark liver flush. It is easiest and perhaps best. Andreas Moritz follows the same format but includes malic acid to soften the stones in advance. If you are new at liver cleansing, start here.

Basic Schedule

Here is what your detox day will look like with either of these cleanses. I think it helps to have a quick reference to demystify the process a bit. Feel free to adjust the schedule to your preferred bedtime, but keep the time intervals intact.

Before 2 p.m. Eat a fat-free breakfast and lunch.
At 2 p.m. Stop eating and drinking. Mix 4 tablespoons Epsom salt and 3 cups water. Refrigerate for better taste.
At 6 p.m. Drink 3/4 cup Epsom salt mixture.
At 8 p.m. Drink 3/4 cup Epsom salt mixture. Squeeze the juice of 1 or 2 grapefruits (1/2 to 3/4 cup) into a jar with a tight lid. Make preparations so you are ready to be in bed by 10 p.m.
At 10 p.m. Add 1/2 cup olive oil to the jar; cover and shake. Drink the mixture then immediately lie down on your right side. Try to stay still for at least 20-30 minutes. Go to sleep.
After 6 a.m. Drink 3/4 cup Epsom salt mixture.
2 hours later. Drink 3/4 cup Epsom salt mixture.
2 more hours Eat regular food, but keep it light.

What If You Can't Stand the Taste?

Some people have a hard time with the Epsom salt water. Others gag at the oil and citrus mix. Either one can be mastered with a wide straw or by plugging your nose to drink.

To tweak the flavor, add a squeeze of lemon to your Epsom salt water. For the oil and citrus, try different liver flush oils or citrus fruits. You may also like my sparkling ginger ale recipe.

These recipes are nice for a change of pace, and none of them use Epsom salt.

How to Gently Dissolve Gallstones

My personal bias for eliminating stones is the traditional oil and citrus liver flush. But I do understand the desire for more gentle cleansing, and I've included some methods below.

My Favorite Way to Dissolve Gallstones

The method that seems to have the strongest track record is taking a whole-food beet supplement. Some people about to go under the knife have taken a beet supplement instead, and their unrelenting pain went away for good.
